What is the Old Queenians Association?

"The objects of the Association shall be the welfare of the School, the retention and renewal of old friendships, and the formation of a bond of union between past and present Queenians".

The Old Queenians Association provides a focus for furthering contact between past pupils for social purposes and for maintaining links with the School and Staff. Under the management of an elected committee, and the Development Office at the School, the OQA organises regular sports matches against the School and other old pupil sides, as well as annual and special event reunions. It publishes a tri-annual newsletter distributed free to all OQ's on the mailing list.

Summer ReunionThe OQA takes an active part in Careers Fairs held at the School, passing on further education, business and careers knowledge to guide pupils in deciding their future after Queen's. The Association also makes grants to the School in support of capital investment programmes - the most recent grant of £10,000 enabling the School to purchase computer equipment for a new resource centre.

The OQA is funded by the School, in the form of an annual grant which can be used towards events and sponsorship. The day to day running's of the Association are financed and dealt with by the Development Office, to whom we are greatly indebted.
